Leave By Privacy Policy

Leave By's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Leave By is a personal day planner that tells you when to leave for your classes, shifts, and other plans. This page explains what information the app uses and why.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics when you sign in: your name, email address, and profile photo. These identify your account and personalize your greeting.
- What you enter into the app: your schedule, place names and addresses, typical drive times, and display settings.
- Events from Google Calendar, only if you choose to connect it. Leave By asks for read-only access and reads events only from the calendars you choose to include. It saves just each event's title, date, start and end time, and which of your places it's at. It never changes, deletes, or shares your calendar. So you don't have to reconnect every hour, Leave By securely stores a renewal key from Google on its server; it can't be read by your browser or anyone else. You can revoke it any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
How it's used
- Your schedule and settings are saved to your account so they're there on any device you sign in on.
- Place addresses and trip times are sent to TomTom to look up locations and live drive times. TomTom does not receive your name or email.
- When you compare car vs. transit, the two places' locations and your arrival time are sent to Google's Routes service to find bus and train options. Google does not receive your name or email from Leave By.
- If you import a screenshot of your schedule, the image is sent to Anthropic's AI service to read the classes and times on it. The image isn't saved by Leave By, and only the classes you choose to add are kept.
- We don't sell your information, show you ads, or share your data with anyone else.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. Security rules ensure each signed-in person can only read and change their own data. The app is hosted on Vercel.
Deleting your data
In the app, open the menu and tap Clear my schedule to erase your saved schedule. To delete your account entirely, contact the developer and it will be removed.
